As a member of the Loss Data Services department you will work on a variety of projects providing analytical support for FM Global's internal and external customers. Not only will you be extracting loss data (and related non-loss data) from multiple company databases but you will analyze FM Global losses and client risk information for technical data such as cause of loss, factors contributing to the extent of damage, and damage descriptions unique to the loss scenario for database entry. As a Loss Analyst I, you will be expected to understand, interpret and communicate the FM Global loss experience reflected in the results.
The ideal candidate will possess loss prevention engineering experience or similar industry experience with the desire to advance one's career in the business of insurance.
A Bachelor of Science in Engineering is required and insurance industry experience is preferred.
You must have excellent communication, presentation skills and the ability to negotiate and influence successful outcomes with diverse business groups.
Effective problem solving, decision making and strong analytical skills are a must. Excellent computer skills across various hardware systems, mainframes and PCs are a must.
The ideal candidate will possess working knowledge and proficiency in the use of MS Office products, including Excel, and Access.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
