Summary:
The Financial Planning Analyst plays a key role in analyzing the financials of a division / staff function.
Provides the Head of FP&A and Finance Business Partners (FBP) with ad hoc and periodic analyses that enables the planning, budgeting, and forecasting (PBF) process and business intelligence (BI).
Schedule & Location:
This position is office-based in Johnston, RI and follows a full-time schedule Monday through Friday.
Start and stop times are flexible.
Occasional domestic travel may be required based on business needs.
Delivers quality and timely management reporting to include in planning, budgeting, and forecasting for FBPs and division/staff function decision-makers.
Supports FBPs with both ad hoc and periodic analyses of the financial performance of a division/staff function to enable PBF process and BI.
Development of monthly management reporting and financial analysis process for a division/staff function.
Proactively provides transparent and frequent financial updates, business trends, opportunities, and actionable insights for FBPs that directly relate to strategic initiatives and growth opportunities.
Maintains engagement with Head of FP&A and FBPs to ensure accurate delivery of analysis.
Helps develop key assumptions and drivers of PBF process by challenging current ideas.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent work experience Highly Preferred Education:
Professional certification e.

CPA, ACA, ACCA Master's degree Required Work
Experience:
7
years of related work experience in finance/accounting is requiredHighly Preferred Work
Experience:
Finance experience at an insurance company is highly preferredRequired Skills:
Good strategic and execution capabilities Good judgement and decisiveness Knowledge of business and finance Practical experience in financial modeling and forecasting Ability to learn quickly and adapt to different division/staff function needs Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic, non-routine environment The hiring range for this position is $85,800-$123,300.
The final salary offer will vary based on individual education, skills, and experience.
