FM Global is seeking an attorney to work as in-house counsel at our corporate headquarters in Johnston, RI. Candidates should have a minimum of three years experience working at a law firm or corporate legal department handling litigation matters and insurance issues, including insurance coverage and subrogation. Candidate must have excellent writing, communication, analytical, and case management skills and possess the ability to provide practical business advice on complicated legal issues.
Responsibilities:
Provide advice and counsel to internal clients such as Claims, Underwriting and Engineering on issues related to their disciplines.
Actively manage litigation and the work of outside counsel especially on subrogation and coverage matters.
Education: BA/BS, JD and admitted and active member of a state bar
Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience in law firm or corporate legal department handling litigation matters or insurance issues including insurance coverage matters. Trial experience is preferred along with strong negotiation skills.
