FM Global is seeking a senior marketing meeting /event planner to lead the successful planning, and execution of the marketing, sales and relationship management aspects for targeted meetings and events geared to identify client and large internal audiences. This includes managing our client experiences of Research Campus Visitor Days, client facing forums, tradeshows, hospitality functions, conferences and large internal group meetings. Other responsibilities include aligning event messaging to corporate objectives and ensuring brand consistency.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the financial services industry executing and planning large meetings.
BS/BA or equivalent degree is required in Communications or related field and CMP designation is preferred.
Candidate must be able to handle multiple priorities and projects at any given time with high proficiency in all phases of Project Management.
Candidate will be a well-organized self starter who is detail oriented and is able to accept responsibility with minimal oversight.
Candidate must have proven experience in building consensus, negotiating vendor contracts and handling all types of conferences/meetings
You must have excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate and influence successful outcomes with diverse business groups
Membership at MPI (Meeting Professional International) or other event management association is a plus.
Effective problem solving, decision making and strong analytical skills are a must.
Must be proficient in all MS office and have experience working with online data management.
