This position directs, evaluates and coordinates the activities of the FM Global N. America absence management program while supporting FM Global's disability leave management goals and overall health and productivity mission. The position manages the relationship with the outsourced vendor partners in both U.S. and Canada to ensure governance and compliance with Federal and State regulations, as well as meeting FM Global's service delivery standards. Coordinates timely management reporting and consults with HR Business Partners and Safety Manager to provide guidance with complex cases, ensure safe and effective return to work practices and stay at work accommodations to help keep employees at work and productive. Provide excellent customer service to employees and managers, through clear communications and timely reporting

Responsibilities:
Recommends, develops, implements, improves, and monitors program including short term disability, long term disability, FMLA, maternity top up (Canada), processes (e.g., intake, case management, return to work), services (e.g., vendor management, data reporting), and the overall effectiveness of the program.
Acts as liaison to vendor services. Manages vendors on a proactive basis. Analyzes trends and patterns against benchmarks and reviews performance guarantees regularly.
Understands, interprets and keeps abreast of relevant laws and regulations.
Acts as liaison to FM Global internal customers (e.g., Payroll and HR Business partners).
Consults with HR Business Partners and managers on highly sensitive and complex cases.
Develops, maintains and delivers right-time communications to FM Global managers, HR Business partners, and employees.
Acts as subject matter expert for absence management and provides knowledge and expertise around best practices and regulatory compliance.
Establishes benchmarks and tools used to identify absence management trends, shares them with internal shareholders, and manages vendor performance over time.
Prepares data for report production and management decision making and responds to requests for ad hoc reports including trending analysis and benchmarking.
Monitors vendor case management using proprietary vendor tools and reports on a real time basis. Routinely audits for errors and corresponding trends and ensures that key stakeholders (HR Business Partners, managers, employees) receive timely notifications and real time access to accurate and useful information.
Coordinates both occupational and non-occupational stay at work and return to work efforts and collaborates with Safety Manager, HR Business Partners, Manager and employee to support the ADA interactive and accommodation processes.
Recommends and develops integration with health support vendors such as EAP, disease management and health plan.
Participates in or leads projects related to absence management/health and productivity.
Other duties as assigned.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Healthcare (i.e. nursing, occupational health), vocational rehabilitation, related disciplines or equivalent experience.
Preferred qualifications for this position include: Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), Certified Disability Management Specialist (CDMS) or Certified Professional Disability Manager (CPDM)
Experience:
5
Years in benefits or other HR function.
2 years in absence and disability management, preferably in an employer setting, including Return to Work (RTW) and case management.
Experience in occupational and/or non-occupational Return to Work
Knowledge of interactive process requirements under ADAAA

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
