This position is part of the ceded reinsurance payable and loss recoverables group. The candidate will review/analyze ceded reinsurance premium and loss recoverable billings (including underlying transactional detail) to ensure that transactions are billed correctly, paid on time, collected in a timely manner and cleared from the reinsurance sub-ledger system. This individual will also be responsible for providing analytical support to the finance units. Special analytical projects will be assigned as required.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance preferred (other business degree in combination with strong work experience may be considered). 2+ years of general accounting or financial reporting experience. Previous reinsurance experience that includes financial systems support and financial analysis is helpful. Computer system knowledge in addition to extensive Excel is desired. Experience working with foreign currencies is preferred. This position requires good analytical skills, excellent communication skills, demonstrated ability to work in a team environment as well as the ability to work independently. (CPA or MBA preferred).

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
